Raamsdonksveer, Netherlands (first blue heron year he popped up flight) - a photo by Nico Andries

My first blue heron this year. He popped up unexpectedly and with a lucky swing his streamlined flight could be caught. (300mm, f 6.7, 1/180 sec)

OH YEAH! I do love those Great Blue Herons. Great action shot with just a bit of blur on the wings to show the speed. Nice work with the focus, clarity, contrast, and definition.
