Charu, not real name, lives in the country's largest brothel at Daulatdia. I talked to her because I had interests about the sex-workers' lifestyle and also about the 'sex-work' as a trade. Lots of the photographers have worked on this 'apparently hated' community.

One of them is Shahidul Alam who has also worked with these people as an activist on issues related to work and its relation to humanity from a specific political point of view. I have gone through most of the work that Shahidul has done over substantial period of time. His work inspired me to work on the sex-workers.

I went to Daulatdia brothel in January 2005 that have 300 houses and accommodates more than 350 families. I tried my best to capture some of the moments of their everyday life, which also have fun, rhythm, owes and agonies. .
