Circa 1700 Water Filtration System, Barbados.
Impure water poured into the topmost container filtered itself thru the limestone container until it dripped into the secondary carved-stone container which further refined the water.
The marble collector container at the bottom was where the 17th. Century Barbados household got its cooking and drinking water from.
