The lovely atmosphere at our local mini lake surprised me this morning...(I'm also starting to like the use of a compact)

Compact or reflex, the important thing is how you use it, and you use it well. It's well composed with life given by the swans and other birds taking off, and the light is superb. An excellent winter picture.
