Update on Woophy 3.0

Yes, I know progress is going slower that originally promised but this is partly due to the fact that we decided to introduce some extra improvements. One of the improvements we made at the last moment is the large images sizes on the site. In order to view photos better we enlarged all image sizes on the site. A consequence of this decision was that we had to rescale all the existing 1,000,000 images on Woophy. A process that alone took more than two weeks.

Currently we are in the process of moving from QA (quality assurance) to Staging. This means that we have finished the design and building of the site and that we are now going to test it on the real site with real users and real pictures. If all goes well and there are no bugs we can make the switch to 3.0 almost immediately.

Thank you for your patience and hope you will like the new website.

"We had to rescale all the existing 1,000,000 images on Woophy" - does this mean that smaller images will be upsamled? I hope that won't be the case - it will not make those images look better ...
