From Madrid with Love

The most beautiful thing I heard in Madrid was ‘Our best friends we have now, we met them through Woophy’. For me it was the first time to attend a Woophy meeting and I must say that I was amazed by the friendship between the Woophians. It was great to see that photography and internet can actually bring people closer together.

Also it is very interesting that one’s photography, or one’s way of looking at things indeed reveals a lot about one’s personality. In fact you can really get to know people through their photography.

Anyway despite strikes by IBERIA, big demonstrations and a general strike still about 50 dedicated members made it to Madrid. There were people joining from Mexico, Argentina, Sweden, Netherlands, Portugal and of course Spain.

And again I really must thank the great organization for all their effort and not in the least place to introduce us to the secrets of Black Paella.

The weekend itself was of course mostly about photographing visiting many interesting spots in the Spanish capital but in between there was plenty of time to socialize and catch up with friends.
