The first word that comes to your mind when you think of Berin’s portfolio is ‘rust’. Although this material features a lot in her pictures the word does not really characterises her portfolio correctly. Berin’s abstract compositions of plain and ordinary stuff are never plain, ordinary ore rusty themselves. The funny thing is that she can make colourful and dynamic pictures out of off dull situations like rusty bolts and nuts.
