A refreshing change...

This is my first blog post here on Woophy. I have been posting photos mainly on the Trek sites (Earth, Lens and Nature). But with the strict rules on Trek Nature I have grown discouraged and was pleasantly surprised to find this site. On TN if you post a photo of a horse (for the sake of argument) they will delete it arguing that horses are not "truly" wild. They won't even accept feral horses. They are very zealous about the scientific purity of the posts that remain on the site, and enough is enough already. Sites like that suck all the joy of photography out of it for me. I am ready for Woophy!

hello Trueimage, I want to thank you for your comment on my first picture here. I am on TN for maybe 3 years now and I think you have been unlucky because some people sometimes post pictures of cultivated plants that are also indigenous and they leave them there. Yet, let's not bother over such discussions, and I am happy to find a TN member on this site. I am new from today and I might like the way it is done on Woophy, the flexibility and finally, the fact that we have no obligation whatsoever to critique, post or we can post as much as we want. Super! Glad to see you here,

    Francine

I have been interested in photography since I was a child. My mother taught me how to use her Mamiya-Sekor 35mm and I developed my own film and made my own prints. Thankfully I made the transition to digital and my Mac and Photoshop smell better than the darkroom chemicals. I hope you enjoy my photos.
