My name is Paul Sherlock and I was born on 9th June 1980. I got into photography when I was on holiday while travelling Europe in 2003. I had a 35mm compact camera and I liked it so much that when I came home I bought a 35mm SLR. I found that photography gave me an avenue to express myself in an artistic way, you can freeze a moment in time that will never happen again. Since then I have joined the Dublin Camera Club and the Howth Camera Club. Since then I have invested into a Digital camera. This year I had a photographic exhibition in a local hall entitled "Landscapes and People", which was a huge success for me as it was my first one. I am currently a photographer for "Coolock and District News", a local news letter. I graduated from Dublin Institute of Technology with a Diploma in Applied Science in 2002. In 2005 I completed a Degree in Applied Physics from Dublin City University. I currently have a published photograph called "Light through the Darkness" in a book named "A New Beginning" by the International Library of Photography. The Future I hope to acquire a more advanced camera and get involved even more in the photography world. I hope someday to exhibit my photographs in an established gallery. My hope is that my photographs are recorded as an historical document for future generations. Equipment I currently use a Fujifilm S5500 advanced compact camera.
