The Italian Government decided in 1936 to level up the "Rechsensee" (near the Austrian and Swiss border) with 22m. A few villages had to disappear, one of this villages was Curon Venosta (Graun).
The villagers protested. The Second Worldwar delayed the plans for a while. [...]
