I recently saw the movie Sin City again, and again I was amazed how well the movie followed and resembles the comic art of Frank Miller (creator of Sin City).

I tried to give some New York shots a Frank Miller feel. Those who are familiar with his art, please comment.

I love the movie as well as the colors (Or lack of them )
The only thing i think separates the movie from these photos is the balance of black and white. The movie is very dark, and I think it will look even better with less white/more black.
The best shot imo is the one with the helicopter. It looks very good!

this deserves more responses...and as a comic nerd i let the ball drop!

i always like playing with the threshold at times, though sometimes with a touch of green....

unfortunately my favorite frank miller work is during his dark knight period when he did a spawn/batman crossover, as i was a huge fane of them both (as millions of others) in my youth....and to this day! so i am relatively unfamilar with the sin books, only know the movie! i always insisted that it should have been better served as a weekly show on hbo

i think everyone should follow martin, and give their version of frank miller in their part of the world!

heres frank's green tinted chicago

I don't know how many hours I spent reading comic books, especially from the french and belgian school, but I would say a lot.
I never read Sin City comic books, but I saw the movie and I liked it very much (so much better than Dick Tracy, another conversion from comic books to movies, released in 1990).

Thanks, Martin, for showing your pictures. I like the one with the police car the most.
And following Tensionhead's idea, here are two of mine:

Manhattan skyless cityscape

And the incredible Sun Man with double personality: superhero by day, and supervillain by night .
