I think it's an excellent shot, very beautiful. I do wonder about the title though, why is it called that?

thanks

about the title: I usually name photos with names that appear in my mind while I think How should I name this photo. If the name appears clear and my subconsciousness does not offer any new suggestions in a short time - I usually pick it up :)

This part of the city is called Old town. So it seemed to me that Still alive could say:
"Hey, I am old, but still alive, and still have a lot to offer"

Also, I like titles that make people think about the title.
When one jurnalist asked Dali what did he meant with some painting (what was the message), Dali aked him what does he see on it. The jurnalist explained how he sees the painting. Then, Dali said: 'Well, this is exactly what I meant'.
So, I am preety sure that everyone can make his own explanation to Still alive title - some of which will be better than mine and this is the best part :)

And after all - above is just my selfexaminationing opinion - who knows why my subconsciousness choosed this title :)

Your photo, Robi, is amazing, especially for a night photo. It brings a wide range of pleasant warm tones which makes me wonder how this place would look in daylight. It has a sense of the old street as in Van Gogh's paintings. The only thing that disturbs my eye is the starry flood light. It belongs to the digital era and draw your attention from the overall atmosphere.

wow, this is the second time people mention Van Gogh when commenting this photo - I am flattered

I agre with you about the starry light - the problem was that if I opened diafragm wide open, there was very little DOF and also the light was too much 'blurry' (not the right word, non-native english here)

the place looks totally different during daylight. i went again during the day in order to take a day photo, but there were cars parked, too much people walking, goods from the stores and similar
