Let's turn it around a bit 
Do you have pictures in your woophy collection that are overrated in your oppinion?
This is mine:
It's my 5th best rated picture, but I actually don't like it realy much and hessitated at first if I should upload it. Funny that others like it much more.
So, post your well rated pictures of wich you don't understand.

I posted it more because of its sentimental value for me, rather than for the photographic quality. Yet, it is my 8th ranked pic.

Hi All,
Joop I actually love that photo above! Looks like a beautiful clear frosty morning.
This is ranked 8th in my collection but initially didn't even consider uploading it.

This is mine, is only a reflection I think isnt a picture for 5, maybe a 3 or 3.5 this pictures are very easy to take, you need to wait and shoot with the slow speed. the compo isnt really strong also. I love the pictures with the lucky factor this is like to pose pictures.

There is mine!
It was my best ratting picture for a long time, now is on 5 place (by ratting). I don´t think that deserve it,and I think I have much better photos which haven´t so good ratting.
Although I think it ´s not one of my best, I like it because it was one of my very first pics. posted on Woophy, and because I like clouds.

How do you all know so well the ranking. In my portfolio - based on ranking - I find high rated ones on high numbered pages!

By the way the most overrated pics are generally the ones that stand the longest before a new upload is done. In other words to get high ratings just do not upload and keep on rating other different people and automatically the number of rates grow. I can give you several names of members who do this. I upload every day so the chance of very high numbers are smaller!

This one is the 8th in my portfolio. I don't understand very well, because IMO :
- it is partially overexposed,
- the composition is not very good : the field limit is positionned right in the center, and the two cows aligned .
- There is few details to catch the eyes exept the heron.
It was not a picture easy to do, but the result is not statisfying, for me.

I don't exactly understand what you mean. If I select order by rating I can see my highest rated pictures . If I go to your member page and do this the best rated picture is a portrait of of an old man.

I think that often beautifull places get the high rating, despite that the picture isn't perfect (or in some cases not good at all).
@ Aline: I can easily see why that picture is highly rated despite it's imperfections. Not only does it have some beautifull colours there is also a fine atmosphere comming from this picture.

Here is my o/rated image in my opinion. Has more hits than any. Might be because I got a hoverfly in action but I have many others that barely rate that I prefer. For me, the techs may be the best but I like to think that other images say much more.

This is my picture with the highest rates, also a surprise to me. I like this picture because this place means a lot to me, I pass it every day.
To be quite honest I think my whole collection is slightly overrated, but who I am I to complain!

This is by far my most overated picture. It stands 4th place in my portfolio.
In my oppinion is seriously over saturated and lost credibility because of it.
It is one of thirteen photos I took of the Gugenheim Museum in Bilbao and I think it is the worse of them.
In Portugal, we normally say "AS PESSOAS COMEM COM OS OLHOS" meaning "PEOPLE EAT WITH THE EYES"

This might not be the most everyday animal, but:
- the image isn't sharp
- the birds head is cut off on the low side
- it is nr 2 in my collection.
Furthermore I am wondering whether this topic is an open invitation to downgrade each others photos. That way we can all stop being surprised why our images are that highly placed.

I didnt expected this to be the 6th place of my collection. this is too detailed to catch attention, not unique or interesting, nothing special about it. simple view. and it is 5 stars..impressive 
but most of you all who possted here your 'most overrated' pics are not that bad..there are a lot worse pictures uploded on whoopy with really hight rating.
but whats is funny, that the thing of rating got really overrated itself. I dont really care about the rating..I love comments. especially the longer once, who explaine what they like and suggest some ideas. I know I am one of those who comment 'nice compo', 'wow' and so on. but this is just the lack of english language  and I am really trying to comment sincare.
