It started as a little joke but it wwould be fun if you show a picture of your meal. This will tell us something about your habits and uses. So we learn more about our different cultures.
This was my eveningmeal yesterday.
Jan did you make apicture of your red beets?
And Jack your perfect meal, did you made a picture of it?
And all the others, wat did you eat?

Great topic, Trudy! And that sausage - mmmm - looked delicious! But here in Italy it's already a bit too hot to enjoy such a strong dish.
So, this is my lunch for today. A very Italian one. Salad, mozzarella and tomatos. AND... Dutch beer! Notice that the can has the same colours...

A tasteful topic Trudy.
A meal I often serve, is my favorite Ossobuco with risotto. I love the Italian food and do my best to make it as original as possible.

@ TBM: oups, i saw your pic before this topic and i made a "bourde" (that's a stupidity): i just noticed it was not an italian drink but not it has the good colours - i have an excuse: i never drink that

We eat them for my birthday today, because there were only this kind of pastrys. I buy some for my collegeas tomorrow because of my birthday, but they will look quite different.
@ TBM thanks for the Italien Lunch, our first meal in Italie was something like that, without the beer.
@Martin de Rijk. Looks delicious, perhaps I can come over to taste it.
@ Brigitte It looks very nice.
Hope there will be more meals very soon.

Trudy, this I ate at people living in the east of the netherlands, a tipical dish of this region called 'papnat'. It is potato, lettuce, and a sauce made of buttermilk and bacon. sounds strange but tastes very good!

yesterday, i made 15kg of cherry marmelade ,and today it's too hot to cook! so, salad, cheese and pastry will be our diner but,here you have a "kefta tajine" from Morocco (that's meat bowls with cumin and other spices in sauce and with eggs,
