Very funny to search some keywords, and also very amazing to see there is (up to now...) only one occurrence for the very unusual word ... car !
This pic of a sumptuous Excalibur by Bluesbuster. So a new challenge, find other very common words with one occurrence !

Zeeg you are the winner of the mystery prize!!!

Car was excluded by accident because we exclude words like 'the' , 'in' , 'nice' , ‘at’ etc. For this we used several international lists available on the internet.

Unfortunately the word ‘car’ was on our French list as un non-meaningful word while in English it is very meaningful.

No need to say that the next time we create an index of meaningful words, the word car is included (in several days)

In the mean time please help us and point out more of these mistakes.

Illinois, of course. The Jungle, Al Capone, Speak Easies, Jerry Springer. Many of the recent politicians and Governors in prison. And porn on woophy.

i am shocked and ashamed to be the only person to have used the word "porn" to desribe (sarcastically) a picture. this must now be changed, good thing i able to do so.....

but zerega, please add michael jordan and smashing pumpkins to your list

Is xylophone a common word ?

bluesbuster

xylophone is not a normal word it is (like pron) only present one time in the Woophy database.

There are however hundreds of 'car's in Woophy except we exclude this keyword by accident

Reading this topic and dicovered also the nice words Brigitte has about my keywords and caption I just realized that my little explorer is really the best possible "icon" for this great new feature
Now seriously, it's great; keyword search was always my favorite way of searching for photos and when I was making blog posts I always used the keyword serch but was also quite disapointed cos many times people were not to generous with the proper keywords in their captions, so I shure hope this new feature will somehowe "push" people to be a bit more creative in that field (ncluding me of course)

@Tensionhead: one member was too quick to add pics (many pics, I agree) and he made mistakes.Asking him correctly, he was fairplay, too and delete all duplicate .
your series is interesting but be careful ... you uploaded the same twice several times like here for example !
or here ! could you, please, delete the duplicate photos ?
and he had the kindness to let the pics with request so I added merci d'avoir agi aussi vite that mean "thanks for being reactive quicly"

A very nice feature. I never wrote many keywords. This makes me look over my keywords again and add some more.

Would be great if the keyword search code would automatically add the simgular or plural form.

If you search for penguin the code should automatically include penguins in the search. There are several examples where either form returns largely different results.

This won't help with irregular forms, though. Guides to keywording recommend including irregular forms explicitely in your keyword list, same for American and UK English versions (truck/lorry, mesmerise/ mesmerize)

You're right zerega. The keyword search could be improved in several ways (exact match, AND, OR, exclude..). We have to do some more testing to see what's possible, regarding scalability/speed.

Really great improvement.
I see that certain common words are not choosen from the description as keywords. It seems that two or more words, packed between two commas, within the description are selected as one keyword. Is that true?
In which order the selected pictures are shown?

i try to figure out..
what is the diference from the search function before??
i don't see any difference. can someone explain it to me?
thank you and sorry for my 'not seeing it'

@ Coffeejunkie: If I have understood, the difference is the creation of a separated section for keywords in the "Add a picture" page. For the pictures previously uploaded, the keywords have been extracted from the description. The keywords are seen in the "Details" part of the picture page, and you can delete the keywords or add new keywords for your pictures.
Hope this will help.

@ coffeejunkie

It is like search results in Google, we don’t want to show you just any zebra but we want to show you the best zebra, or the most relevant zebra.

Therefore we had to built quite a large database of keywords and order them.

Before the introduction of this updated software the search result just showed you the first zebras uploaded, not the best or the most recent.

I know this explanation sounds complicated but it means we had to do a lot of work behind the scenes in order to present the visitors of Woophy nicer photos
