In August I had sent to the Contest Forum (for the section "Background") my picture n. 383956. It regularry appeared on the forum.
But now it is no longer among the photos on the new Contest section. Was there something wrong in the migration of the submittances? Let me know, please, so that I can send it again...

it is there again

However I do not participate in this contest, nor do I intend to do so in the upcoming months. Yet I've one remark...

First of all it is very nice to know who the jury is but... It comes to my attention that however woophy is a worldwide visited and used photo-site jury exists only european members. Three out of four people are even dutch. I wonder if they can even have an objective look at the contest, certainly with a subject about the news.
Wouldn't it benefecial for the contests outcome if the jury existed out of more nationality. Preferably with at least one jury member per continent?

Grtz

yes it would, maybe next time

I’d say that it doesn't really matter because it is all about the photo and if you can capture the jury's attention. An excellent photo stays and excellent photo, regardless of where it comes from

Hi!
I have few questions about contest and I do love to get answer of them.

1. What is the deadline of the contest?
2. As I post photographs in contest as 640 x 480 pixels than my chances of winning is less or it is same as the others who uploads photographs in 1280 x 1024 pixels.
3. I want to upload old photographs of my grand uncle, who is dead now; I do not know who took those photographs, but it is with me since I remembered. So Can I able to upload it?
4. I want to win an Olympus SLR camera E 410, so tell me the secret to win the contest.

Thank you,
Gaurav Dhwaj Khadka
