Epskamp Member	# Posted: 13 May 12 23:50 Reply Dear photographers, I am looking forward to expand my camera gear. For now, I have been making pictures with a Canon EOS 550D + 18-55 mm IS Kit lens. But I like to buy a lens which can zoom a little more, like a 18-200, or 55-250. It's hard to choose between Canon or Tamron (what are the differences?) and between the two 'sizes', is it worth to spend almost 200 euro's for a 18-200 lens instead of a 55-250. Anyway, depending on the kind of photography you think it will be your trend in a near future, I'd say for a Canon EOS 550D (and not intending to spend as a pro or even as an advanced amateur) I'd prefer to have a single (but better lens; and not needing to change between two of them, preserving the sensor clean and making 90% of the pics normally "we" do): the Canon EF-S 18-135mm f3.5-5.6 IS.
