As from this Monday 30th their will be a trial contest
( this is not to replace the unofficial contest ).
I will upload a topic with a example picture on Monday morning, you then will have till Monday (2 weeks time) take, process and upload your picture. I then will judge the pictures and announce the winner on the following Monday ( 7 days later).
The winner will then have the chance to choose a topic , host it and judge it the following month.
The contest will be on every 4th Monday but i will be on hand for help.
Here's the rules for Monday so you can familiarize yourself with them
1. The photo must be taken, processed and uploaded before 8:00pm Monday (2 weeks).
2. The challenge is started in the forum and the description states what the challenge is. You enter the challenge by uploading your picture to the forum thread.
3. Any submission that appears to be taken before the competition started will be disqualified. (photos must be taking between the stated times on the challenge day)
4. Any picture posted after the '(Stop) image is uploaded will also be disqualified.
5. The person who hosts is the judge for that week.
6. The winner gets to create, run, and judge the challenge the following week.
7. AND REMEMBER ITS NEW AND ITS FUN.
So look out in the forum Monday 30th and see if you want to join in the more the merrier .

Jonny, I don't want to bother with the 3rd rule again, but as Nivad wondered, the date of exif may be hidden (mine is) and not controlled. Besides, it can be a point of added trouble to be verified by the "judge". On the other hand, you said before that the pic could already be in stock! As I really don't see the interest of this restriction of its date (but you could explain if it does exist), imho I'd say that the "limit" could be almost the same as in the UC: here, the pics allowded could be those "original" since the starting date of the W.Chal., plus those already posted during the very same month. What do you think? [But I don't want to cause any trouble with this, right?]
Btw, Great 2nd half from Spain!!! Well deserved winning!!! Congrats to our Spanish members!

To me, the 3rd rule makes sense and makes the challenge more challenging, which I guess is the whole purpose of it. We have other contexts within Whoophy to post the pics we have already in stock, don't you think? But it is true that the hidden exif data will be a problem...
Of course, not all of us will be able to participate in every challenge because of work, lack of inspiration, holidays, etc, etc, etc. But if this is about having fun, that should not be a problem.

Hi, Marysun!
Maybe you have some reason (imho) about the challenging effect of the restriction on the date! But let me emphasize, then, the big problem: how to control the date of the pics taking! Even with exif data on, at our gallery (and that isn't a must here [happily]), it's so easy to change it with some software! So... you know... problems again

Hahaha i see what you mean about exif data. Firstly it will just be fun and i do a one hour challenge on a Monday and there too is open for abuse but i think 98% dont worry as its just fun.
But and a big but i understand Miguel where your coming from after whats happened with our UC can we trust people, and i say we can and yes you are going to get people pushing it but it comes down to the judge and its the judges final decision.
Ok want to hear every ones take on rule 3. personally i think it makes it more challenging but would people prefer just using old images?
You see its down to the host, if i said "take a picture that represents a film stars name", would you have a picture of that sort in your gallery?

Tell you what i have a great subject for you all to get your teeth into and you have 2 weeks and you can do this at home at night or at weekend and you can upload as many as you can.
so we will try it on the 30th as a trial if it goes well it will be new for us but FUN.
I know its going to take a while before we get the numbers but lets work at it with positive attitudes 
I have a link for you all to look at but not sure joris will let me show it as its another photo site but its a really good example.
Really am glad i have your support from you all .

Hi Jonny,
I'll be carrying my camera on me for two whole weeks, just to make sure that I find the best example of what you ask from us. Will you mind if we all enter our pictures pretty late during the challenge?

Cheers Ruud!!! you can enter the entries anytime with in the 2 weeks and as many as you like but any uploaded after the cut of time 8pm Monday night woophy time will not be counted. So from Monday you will have 2 weeks to enjoy my subject hahahah and its not going to be a landscape challenge
By the way i will host this challenge but after that i will not enter my entries as ill be over seeing the game and want to make sure it runs smoothly so if the hosts want to contact me when they are hosting they can with no worries .
